This installation is from 2014, and despite it being an earlier work, it is still very much in the same vein of my more current works and installation pieces. This piece incorporates a Dutch Wooden Show that has been clad in orange peels applied using 2” long sewing pins with tiny blue heads, and many small collage and found object pieces, small drawings and other ephimora.
This installation is comprised of suspended plastic animals that are all painted with a very pale pink paint. Suspended on fishing line, they seem to be floating above the doll sized high chair. This piece evokes ideas of imagination and day dreaming.
Eyes of the World is another installation using found objects, books, chairs, and a hospital gown that I wore when my first child was born. It incorporates sewing tools and other objects that bring up feelings of family, history and the importance of remembrance.
