Floral Blues

These small blue drawings are white ink on a dyed blue poplar wood panel. They are small studies drawn from still lives of floral arrangements. The wood grain of the panel is still visible behind the drawings, giving the works a rich depth and contrast of the drawing line to the line of the wood grain. I also made the poplar frames especially for these works as the color of the poplar is complementary to the dyed blue panel.
